The African Transformation Movement — a party for all South Africans.

Who We Are

The African Transformation Movement (ATM) is a Social Democratic Peace Party founded on 19 November 2018. We are committed to serving all citizens through a transparent and accountable government that respects the rule of law and the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.

ATM was established with the institutional backing of the Twelve Apostles Church in Christ (TACC) and the South African Council of Messianic Churches in Christ (SACMCC), reflecting the party's deep roots in South Africa's faith communities.

To build a modern, inclusive, and socially just economy that combats corruption, upholds the dignity of every citizen, and ensures that government serves the people with integrity and accountability.

Our Presence

ATM has established branches across all nine South African provinces, with particular strength in the Eastern Cape region. The party holds 2 seats in the National Assembly and 1 seat in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.

Political Alignment

Following the 2024 South African general election, ATM joined the Progressive Caucus in Parliament, alongside other opposition parties committed to transformative politics and holding the government accountable.
