Electoral Court Dismisses ATM's 2024 Election Objection

The Electoral Court dismissed ATM's application seeking a rerun of the 2024 national and provincial elections on 14 January 2025. The application was dismissed for failure to meet procedural requirements. ATM had alleged electoral irregularities in the May 2024 polls.

ATM Joins the Progressive Caucus in Parliament

Following the 2024 general election, ATM joined the Progressive Caucus, a left-wing parliamentary faction that includes the Economic Freedom Fighters and the MK Party. The party retained its 2 seats in the National Assembly and gained 1 seat in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.

ATM secured approximately 0.4% of the national vote in the 2024 general elections, retaining its two seats in the National Assembly. In the Eastern Cape, the party earned 1.57% of the provincial vote, winning a seat in the provincial legislature.
